Esma Dereboy, one of Turkey's emerging designers, achieved significant success this year by winning two prestigious international design awards, the IF Design Award and the Red Dot Award, renowned in the world of design.
The Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH has announced the winners of its traditional annual iF DESIGN AWARDS 2022. According to the results, this year, in the category of product design, home appliances, and tableware, Esma Dereboy's Capsule series was honored with an award.
The design, which won the admiration of a jury of 132 renowned independent experts from around the world, was selected from approximately 11,000 entries from 57 countries. During the same period, there was also good news from another prestigious international design award, the RED DOT AWARDS. Esma Dereboy's Capsule Collection design also received a RED DOT award based on the votes of 48 expert jurors from 23 countries. Made from recycled porcelain, Capsule references the proportional, ergonomic design, and minimalistic lifestyle of society. Inspired by the outer contours of a capsule, this cup set emphasizes balance and ergonomics in its design.
The smooth texture of the matte surface evokes a sense of naturalness and creates a distinct feel when held. In the Capsule sets, espresso cups, saucers, mugs, and water glasses in various color options allow users to mix and match, enabling them to create different combinations with the mix and match concept.
